Myself Yourself

Wonderful romance anime only 13 episodes long.


Its starts out with Sana Hidaka as a young child. His friends (Syusuke & Syuri Wakatsuki, Nanaka Yatsushiro and Aoi Oribe) throw him a going away party. He'll be moving due to family circumstances but it did not say why in the anime. He is gone 5 years and moves back to try and reclaim his old self. He does not recognize Nanaka and this hurts her deeply as they were very close friends before he moved. To add salt to the wound he spends a lot of time with Asami. A girl that he meets trying to find the visual and audio room.

His friends go through a lot of heartache and he becomes strong trying to support them.
Several times I reached for a kleenex as scenes where so very touching.

The End is happy!
Nanaka remembers her past and Sana tells her his secret of the wearing the watch.
It flashes 10 years into the future.
Asami saves the park that was so special to Syuri.
Nanaka is giving a violin concert at this park.
Sana meet her before the show with a ring behind his back.
He comes out to sit next to Yuzuki (homeroom teacher in the past)
and she asks how it went in which he replies.
She gives him a caramel.
Everyone shows up Aoi, Asami, appartently Hinaka found love with Asami cousin Youka (I think this was his name and he may have been her nephew) and it shows a couple holding hands wearing bracelets which leads us to think that the twins Syuri & Syusuke are back.
Nanaka comes out and plays the entire melody she composed of Myself;Yourself.
She's wearing a engagement ring which tells us that Sana proposed before the show and she accepts.

The only thing I am dissatisfied with is the question of the twins. Were they lovers or not?
The comment Syusuke makes to Hinaka during the aquarium made me think yes and also because they were holding hands attending the concert. However I've read several comments from people saying no they were only very close siblings. I read one review saying the author left it open so that you could decide for yourself. So if you wanted incest its a yes and if not its a no. I hate wondering. RAWR

Hatenko Yugi

10 episodes so its short.
The manga is at MangaFox and is ongoing.
The anime is awesome!! I don't understand why it bombed.
There isn't any real romance but lots of flirting.
The anime doesn't really end but it does have a happy ending.
I don't feel like googling a review on this at the moment so my quick version is.
Girl is left in woods by father.
Man comes, saves girl takes her home and raises her.
Father kicks girl out of house to 'experience the world' at age 14.
Girl meets up with albino guy who's on a journey for revenge.
They travel together. I dont' know how Heat comes into the picture but he travels with them.
Father meets up with group to take girl back home.
Alzeid (spellcheck) (albino guy) races after train yells about how he won't write to her, he won't do this and that, they won't be friends because friends don't leave, etc.... etc....
She jumps from train, he catches her and she resumes her journeys.

LOTS of loose ends. I thought for sure there would be another season to clear it up.
I love how the main character is so full of herself. I get so sick of seeing weepy, whiny, weak girls that she was a real refreshment. I've watched this series twice now. I will now read the manga.

Tayutama -Kiss on my Deity

Ending is a bit sad but its not bad.
Mashiro uses up all her spirtual energy and therefore has to die (sleep)
Yurri marries her and tells her she will be his only wife.
Being mortal he will only live a few decades so there parting will be short.
Meanwhile she will sleep and wait for him.

After the credits you see what looks to be a odd world so I am assuming the spirtual world.
Yurri is driving down the road on a motorcycle. Mashiro gets on the bike with him.

Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S

This is the second story to Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica.
It's a remake or prequel to it.
It doesn't really matter which you watch first. I liked them both but this one has a better ending.
Both are pretty much about the same thing.

I really like the ending for this one.

Phoron and Corti kiss!!!!!!!! Yippeee!

After the credits Phoron is on the roof top of the orphange he grew up in.

Corti finds him and says he'll get scolded if he stays.

He reaches out his hand and says "Let's Go"

The manga has not been completely scanned and I doubt it will.
Only 1 chapter and from what I remember its a lot of hentai/gore.


The anime:
All of Jun's loved ones perish except for her agent Tatsuya Yuasa by the end of this anime.
Jun becomes hope for all other beasts. They have been captured and are being disposed of regardless that they still retain there human soul. Asuka is both male & female and rapes Jun.
Asuka becomes a 'angel' or 'god' and has created peace for the world. Jun falls into hell where all beasts are trapped and tormented creating a mountain of souls.

Kazumi speaks and tells Jun not to turn around because she wants her to remember her the way she was. With there conversation Jun realizes that she must become the devil to overcome the wrong that is being done to beasts. She takes in all the souls to become stronger so that she can defeat Asuka. Jun rips out of hell and begins her battle with Asuka.

Jun defeats Asuka but not before she has her wings sliced off and her arms cut off.

Time has passed and Jun is walking down the street.
Kazumi beast friend is pregnant, school girls with tails are running down the street, and Jun continues her stroll. THE END

I dont' know if I"d consider this a happy ending.
Afterall everyone she cares about is dead. I guess there is still her grandparents though.
I was really hoping she'd grow her arms back and be with Maeda.
Since he was killed off I was thinking this may be the first anime that the main character might have been better off to have died as well.

SAD SAD SAD!!

All through this I was wondering if Shiki would ever see Arc as anything other than a vampire.
You can clearly tell she adores him.
Ciel tells him of the story of the moon princess which is actually Arc.
She was pure but a snake (Roa who says he fell in love with her) came into the garden and offered her a drink. She drinks it and its blood causing her to fall from grace you might say.
For her pentance she sleeps and only awakens when she senses Roa.
She's lived/slept 800 years waking and killing Roa each time then going back to sleep.

Ciel at one time was possessed by Roa and now serves pentance through the church.

Shiki leans that he is not Akiha's true brother but adopted.
He takes the place of the real Shiki after a incidence occurs.

Arc waits for him at the usual spot and he doesn't show up.
So she gets into his room by the open window and tells Shiki she is angry.
She offers a date to make up for it. During this date they talk about all kinds of things and get closer. At the end of the day they sleep together. Shiki awakens to find her gone.

The last episode she battles Roa and when Shiki frantically appears she uses her power to hold him in place so that he cannot interfere. She does this to protect Shiki. Since she is already weakened she uses her last strength to 'explode' Roa. This doesn't work since he is eternal and puts himself together. She's to weak to defend herself and Roa gives her a mortal wound.

The magic she used on Shiki is dispealed and he runs to her.
He attempts to have her feed on him but she refuses and disappears.
Shiki then gets into battle with Roa and destroys him.

Shiki goes to the tree he visited as a child and meets the sorceres.
They talk and she tells him not to come back.
He leaves his knife by the tree.

Shiki goes home and the next day goes to school as if nothing ever happened.
His classmates don't remember Ciel.
One of his classmates that throughout the show had a cruch on him finally tells him her feelings.
It only hints to this as she runs out crying.
After school everyone is gone and it appears evening time.
Arc appears.
She tells Shiki to forget about her.
He tells her he loves her and asks about there promise.
She tells him he has already kept his promise and she disappears once again.

So very very SAD SAD SAD
In the 11th episode you find out Sora is dying.
She has a disease that mage's can get where once they are startled there heart doesn't slow down beating. After this they have around a year to live.
Gouta find's out she was startled last summer.
They graduate mage training and Sora tells Gouta he can get married and have children but please remember her.
All of them go home after graduation but promise Sora they will visit her in Biei.

In this anime there is a tree which she played by with her father as a small child.
Since his death she goes to this tree to talk to him.

Gouta text messsages her and tells her he's going to work hard and show her the seas of the world. He sends her a photo of himself by the sea. She texts him and shows him a picture of her beside the tree and a field.

She has fulfilled her promise to her father which was to become a mage.
Now its time to fill his magic request: To see her in a wedding dress.
She uses magic to show herself getting married to Gouta.
She dies with her mother holding her and a smile upon her face.

5 Years Later
Asagi & Kuroda are together planning on a trip to Biei. They decide to get the ice cream Sora said was so good. I think her name was Saori (its the one that wore the army shorts that also like Gouta) she has her dream and is a mage senpai. Her student is worried about becoming a mage and she tells her what she learned from Sora. The girl that Sora loved to listen to that sang by the train station now has her own album and made a song because of Sora.

Gouta now has long hair and riding a motorcycle. He is searching for the tree in Biei that was in the photo Sora sent him. He gets directions from what looks to be Sora's mother and tells her he's going to see his girlfriend. She gives him a tomato. He gets to the tree and talks to Sora and tells her he's seen all the seas now. He uses his magic to show her the seas. He takes out his necklace which is made from the stone Sora found on the beach. He says he can do his best because she is always with him.

I've seen the 1st and last. They haven't any similarities other than they are all about mages/mage schools/ magic requests etc... The characters are not the same as well.

I know Someday's Dreamer didn't have any romance in it. It also has a happy ending where she just goes back home after touching so many lives.


There is a manga and I heard Gouta is a big pervert in it. I've not read it.

He wakes up to her crying.
He tells her later that was the first time he's ever seen her cry.
She replies and says it was the first time she's ever cried.
He doesn't know why. When she found out he was going to live she was so overjoyed tears came out. He tells her maybe she's in love with him. She asks him what "in love" means.
He says nevermind. They walk together in search of the little boy.

Rumor is that orginally this was suppose to be a 26 episode anime.
However it did so poorly that a season 2 may be out of the question.
They did come out with a 2nd playstation game and I think it starts off with a short film that may give you some insight on things. I dunno. Just repeating what I saw on web.

Now on to the anime ending.

Priecia tells Hyaweh that she is not the true princess.
He tells her he has decided that he will only fight for her.
He will become her knight only.
A angel attacks and together they unleash the full power of the Ala-Gladius.

I just finished the last anime episode!!
This anime is most definately one of my top favs!!
Although from the very beginning you know that Risa and Otani are going to end up together getting to that point was both hilarious and anticipating.
Great ending. I was moved and this anime left me wanting more!!

I read about the spin off and it looks like Risa and Otani are not going to be the lead characters.

This anime ending is incomplete in my opinion.
Ranmaru Shindo and Sakura Rokujo go into the big hole (underworld) beside there old building.
Sakura forces Ranmaru to stab her and he kisses her to gain her symbiont to become stronger.
You think she's dead but later you see her in the hospital in a coma.
She'll open her eyes and you hear Taishi's evil laugh.
The end.

I am soooooo not happy with this anime!!

In the end Jun'ichi Nagase realizes he has feelings for his sister and his fiance (whom I was hoping for) Yuuhi Katagiri says she will not give up.

Although in the anime series she says that she is adopted, she later says it was a joke.
In the game she is blood related.

Very cute anime. I enjoyed it.
Happy ending. Yes, although not romantic.

Seiji finds and brings Hazuki little sister Art to live with them.
Kouhei seals his jougan so that he can remain with Hazuki.
He tells Hazuki that her mother is dead. She cries and then he reminds her she hasn't 'sucked' him today. So she bites him.

Searching around from manga readers the relationship between Hazuki & Kouhei develops and they do become a couple.

The ending isn't as satisfactory as I'd like.
I would have liked to see Koshi in love.
Instead everything just goes back to the way it was.

Koshi and Momoko are fighting for the antidote.
The sun is close to setting which means death to them.
Momoko wants Koshi to take the anidote and she passes out.
Koshi takes the antidote into his mouth and kisses Momoko to make her drink it.
She awakens to find him dead and has tears of blood.
She gains the power of the ancients and uses the Dragons Aura.
During the battle a tear falls on Koshi and he dreams of his childhood.
His mother put his power to sleep saying he was not to harm others because he would regret it.
His power heals him and he awakens and stares at Tenga.
Momoko thinks of her love giving her greater power and she wins the battle against Tenga.
Koshi is in acoma and awakens to find Momoko gone.
He thinks about her a lot and realizes that his daily life cannot go on without her.
She returns during this and he gives her a nice smile.

This is episode 22 but it goes on to 23 and then there is a ova.
I don't even remember episode 23 except he did say if she died it would be troublesome.


So another happy ending!

Looking for romance you'll be disappointed.
I really really wanted to see Fuu with Mugen.
The only romance here is very short lived when Jin falls in love with a prostitute.
She is taken to work off her husbands debts however Jin saves her.
He takes her to a temple and says he'll come back for her.

In the end the 3 part ways. Fuu tells them she tricked them into coming with her.
They each separate taking a different path.
She does meet her father who is very sickly toward the end.
He dies however she doesn't mourn for him.

Happy ending?

I wouldn't say its a sad ending. I enjoyed this anime immensely.
I've heard this one also called A Thousand Year Romance.

In the last episode Kuro finally meets up with Kuromitsu.
She explains to him what has happened to him.
His transformation was not complete and every so many years his body dies.
Therefore she has to chop off his head and attach it to another body.
Every time she does this he looses his memory.
When he awakens he is driven to search for his love (her) because she is the only thing he can remember. She is trying to find/make him a perfect body during this time.
The story never ends. He awakens, he finds her, he gets his head chopped off.

I loved it!!

I haven't read the manga although I heard he gets his body back and gets to live happlily ever with Kuromitsu.

Kaname remembers what really happened during his childhood.
A mermaid wasn't trying to drown him but save him.
Amuro was that mermaid. (She's not a mermaid but swims like one)
During the credits she kisses Amuro.

This was surprisingly good!
It is a MATURE anime.

In the end although Saiga goes blind he takes beautiful landscape photos.
I think its 5 years later Kagura returns to him. He knows its her.
They hug/kiss. Its been awhile since I saw this but seems like he asks her if she's there to stay and she says yes. Also she may mention she has grown and is not a little girl anymore which is what stopped him from having a relationship before.

Awesome ending!

Anime ending is nice. All around this was a nice anime.
I would have liked to seen just a tad more of a relationship between
Kippei and Kokoro but in the end of the anime you see them sleep together with Yuzu between them.

In the manga Yuzu mother comes back for her. She later writes a letter to Kippei and tells him of her precious memories he made for her. She also tells him she was never lonely because she had him and she loves him.

I only read the last chapter. lol
But I was told that Kippei and Kokoro gets married at some point.
In the last chapter it does look like they are living together so I dunno what chapter they were married at. :0)

A little romance not much.
Well worth watching. I really enjoyed it.

Honoka and Iks join together to confront The Third.
They confront The Observer.
In the ending I think Jōganki gives up on Honoka although he still has feelings for her.
Iks and Honoka continue traveling together.
There is some interest there. I forget now since its been so long since I watched it but seems like they hold hands. Not sure but you know the interest between the two is there.

I cried. It's not a happy ending for me.
George leaves with Isabella overseas but you can tell he is still in love with Caroline.

Caroline ends up marrying her classmate Hiro. It only hints this in the anime but shows it in the manga if I'm not mistaken. She is still in love with George in my opinon.

Also not sure if its the manga or the anime but George does do the fashion for a broadway show.

You're not going to find ANY romance here.
I loved it anyway. Great anime.

The ending was very emotional.
Not because it was sad but it was so heart warming.

Earlier in the series at a protest, one of Rin's friends chases the train that Rin is on.
She's yelling for Rin to dance again when she is killed.

Rin battles with Fuego (her ride back) and it looks like she is dancing.
Fuego can barely keep up with her and eventually its destroyed.

You'll see Rin pick up her ballet shoes in the final episode.

The end...
is bittersweet in my opinion.
I choose to believe that Hikari will be back.
When Takeru was asked if he believed she would return he said yes.

I did cry as she showed him what the future could/would look like.

What helped me along was the fact that he didn't seem to be grieving over her.
But of course he believes she will return.

I'd like to see a ova come out with her returning.

If you're depressed or get depressed easily I don't recommend this anime unless you can put yourself in the frame of mind that she will return.

This anime was okay. It didn't leave a lasting impression.
The ending is happy. She does end up with Sinbad/Chiaki in a sense.
She saves Finn. She regains her trust in God.
Noin sacrifices himself for Marion and gets to be with the orginial Jeanne.

about a continuation. This manga takes place 15 years after the anime.
Sora is married to Leon with two little girls named Sophie & Angelique.
Yume Sora's sister comes to visit her. That is when everything starts with Yume
being the leading character.

RUMOR through various sites say a new character called the "Black Phoenix" appears.
Also that Ken and May develop a realationship.

The ENDING of the anime.....
Wonderful, heartwarming!
No romance in it although it did look like Leon and Sora where about to kiss during the show.
She does become the Kaleido star!!
Layla makes me cry by telling Sora she was her pride!

Although the second season put me off a bit with May (awful attitude at first) and Sora (being so depressed and indecisive) it was well worth hanging in there and watching!

You MUST watch the anime until the VERY end!
This means waiting patiently for those credits etc... to end.
Then you'll find that Hagi is NOT dead!

The ending is what I would call bittersweet.
I really wanted this to change so that Saya doesn't have to go back into hibernation.
So the thought of Hagi roaming alone waiting for Saya was sad.
However now they love each other and when she awakens they can be together as a couple.

How does it end.....
If you were rooting for Yuki & Kaname its a GREAT ending!
I adored Kanme so this was a happy ending for me.

Zero tells Yuki to bite him if she's a vampire. She does.
He tells her the next time he sees her he'll kill her.
She says she'll be waiting.
Kaname & Yuki leave the school with a few of the night class.

If you read the manga you'll understand this a little better.
Yuki is giving Zero a reason to live because she knows without one he'll destroy himself.
So she'll live as a vampire and he'll forever search for her.

I could be a little off since its been quite some time since I read this part in the manga but
the jest of it is... if you wanted Kaname & Yuki then you've gotten your wish!

Anime Endings

I am a big time ROMANCE anime fan!
Its even better when there is some action in there but I HATE spending all the hours watching a anime only to come to the end and have it SUCK royal.

I like HAPPY endings which to me means NO TRADEGY and the couple I prefer end up together. So most of the anime I watch and post here are going to be a long those terms.

I've noticed that I am not alone!
Doing searches trying to find out if the anime title I have in mind is going to have romance and a good ending I have seen tons of other people searching for the same thing.
However, if during reviews or comments anything is "SPOILED" a hundred posters scream curse words and such.
